John Miniotis

President, CEO & Director

John Miniotis brings 20 years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, investor relations and corporate finance. He currently serves as President and CEO of AbraSilver since December 2019, following the successful merger with Aethon Minerals Corp, where he previously held the role of CEO and led the company's capital markets and M&A strategy.

Prior to Aethon, John was Vice President of Corporate Development at AuRico Metals, which was acquired by Centerra Gold in January 2018 for approximately $310 million. He also held senior roles at Lundin Mining, where he played a key role in corporate development and investor relations, contributing to acquisitions valued at over $2 billion.

Earlier in his career, John worked in mining equity research at Wellington West Capital Markets and BMO Capital Markets, and Corporate Development at Barrick Gold. Mr. Miniotis holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with high distinction, from the University of Toronto.

Jeremy Weyland

Chief Operating Officer

Jeremy Weyland has worked in the mining industry since 2007, focused on projects, technical services and due diligence. Prior to joining AbraSilver, Jeremy was at Lundin Mining from 2017 where he held positions as Director of Project Studies and Acting Vice President of Technical Services. During his time at Lundin Mining he led the completion of feasibility studies for expansionary projects in Chile and Brazil, led the post acquisition integration effort of Lundin's acquisition of Chapada in Brazil and was the technical due diligence lead for Lundin Mining's acquisition of the Josemaria project in Argentina and the Caserones operation in Chile. Prior to Lundin Mining, Jeremy was at Kinross Gold for 10 years where he held various roles in risk management, strategic planning and projects, including secondments to the La Coipa and Maricunga operations in Chile. Prior to his career in mining, Jeremy worked in upstream energy at Centrica North America (Direct Energy), corporate credit at Scotiabank and engineering at Foster Wheeler. Jeremy is a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Queen's University, as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

David O'Connor

Chief Geologist

David O'Connor has over 40 years experience in the mining industry, focused on the identification, acquisition and management of mineral projects of merit. He was the founder, or co-founder of five publicly listed companies based on projects in South America and managed the merger of three of these. With Explorator Resources, he developed the El Espino deposit in Chile to an open pittable resource of 230 million tonnes at 0.65% Cu and 0.2g/t Au, following which the company was sold to Pucobre (a Chilean copper miner). Previously David was in charge of early exploration for Western Mining Corporation at the world class Olympic Dam deposit and later was Chief geologist of Peko-Wallsend in Australia. He holds a BSc (Hons) degree from Cape Town University and an MSc D.I.C. in mineral exploration from the Royal School of Mines in London.

Carlos Pinglo

Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary

Carlos Pinglo is an Economist with over 20 years senior management experience. He has worked with both private and public companies in corporate finance, strategic planning, financial reporting, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions. Carlos’ extensive background includes Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at Eurotin Inc., Chief Financial Officer at Adriana Resources Corporation, Carpathian Gold Inc., First Bauxite Corporation, Medoro Resources Ltd., Controller of both Silver Eagle Mines Inc. and Excellon Resources Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors at Mineros Nacionales S.A.

John Naisbitt

Project Director

John Naisbitt has more than 45 years of experience in engineering, construction, procurement and project management, including more than 30 years working on major mining projects across Latin America. A mechanical engineer fluent in Spanish, John has extensive experience leading large-scale mining projects from feasibility through engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up.

Prior to joining AbraSilver, John held senior project and engineering roles with leading mining companies, including Eldorado Gold, AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, Lydian International and Barrick Chile. As Vice-President and Project Director for Lydian International, he led development of the US$384 million Amulsar gold project in Armenia. He also served as Project Director for AngloGold Ashanti's US$1.5 billion Gramalote project in Colombia, and as Project Director for Gold Fields' Cerro Corona copper-gold project in Peru, where he led engineering, construction and commissioning of the US$550 million operation.

At AbraSilver, John leads execution of the Diablillos project, including detailed engineering, contracting and procurement, early works and construction management.
